Summary:

The Foundations Construction Managers goal is to facilitate positive relations with Nextracker customers worldwide. The Foundations Construction Manager ensures that NEXTracker’s products and Installation out-perform customer expectations and are of the highest quality possible and develops customer loyalty by optimizing the product to the customer’s needs and providing great technical onsite support services on the NEXTracker product.

Responsibilities:

Provides technical support for Nextracker customers globally ensuring a best in class customer experience and providing product and systems expertise. Translate and interpret wiring/ construction schematics to support Construction installation. Train clients, installers, and partners on foundation installation and remediation best practices Train clients, installers, and partners on foundation installation machinery and equipment Interpret and explain foundation installation specifications and tolerances Support on-site pre-project foundation load testing services Support maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing foundation installation machinery as necessary Adherence to specific regional safety regulations and Nextracker safety standards. Responsible party for implementing all required site-specific safety plans. Plan, schedule and execute Project/Construction kick off meetings. Establish and maintain effective communication channels with Nextracker Project Managers and on-site customers. Work with management to forecast construction schedules, contracted site support, specific site requests and internal documentation initiatives. Work in conjunction with owners, customers, subcontractors and Nextracker management on site specific construction initiatives. Provide guidance, training and technical support to Nextracker customers, temporary labor and sub-contractors with issues concerning Nextracker technical documents and installation best practices. Provide training on initial setup, calibration and preventative maintenance of installation tools.

Experience and Qualifications:

  • 5 years of Construction Management experience.
  • 2 years of solar-specific installation or on-site management experience
  • Strong understanding of hydraulic and electrical systems.
  • Strong understanding of ground-mount foundation installation and remediation processes
  • Competency in safe operation of various equipment types (forklifts, Reach Forklifts, Bobcats, Scissor lifts, etc.)
  • Proficient with basic on-site construction equipment (laser levels, transits, etc.)
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Understanding of construction math and strong problem-solving skills.
  • Strong self-starter with ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong leadership skills.
  • Proven ability to establish and maintain effective client relationships.
  • Safe work practices in accordance with Regional, state and local EH&S regulations
  • Highly effective at managing and delivering construction projects on schedule and under budget.
  • Detail-oriented and solution driven
  • Valid drivers license required
  • Willing to travel up to 100% as required
