We are looking for an Ecommerce Trading Assistant to join our UK Trading team!

This is an exciting opportunity within Ecommerce, specialising in the Homepage - the window to our online store.

We are looking for someone ideally with an interest in fashion and a creative mindset who is highly organised, with excellent commercial awareness, a good understanding of our customer and the ability to interpret sales trends and data to drive what we should feature on our Homepage.

You’ll need to be confident in communicating and collaborating with different people and teams within the wider business as this is a key part of the role.

We can offer hybrid working, with part of the week working at Next Head Office in Enderby, Leicester and part of the week working remotely (3 days office, 2 days remote!)

About the role

  • A varied role working across departments to curate and coordinate our homepage, managing weekly updates and daily changes in response to trade
  • You will bring a creative element to online trading, working with our brand marketing and design teams to select the best imagery and ensure we deliver a truly inspirational onsite experience, whilst utilising your commercial knowledge to ensure the page is reflective of customer mindset
  • You’ll be responsible for optimising the onsite experience, and translating new ideas into practical solutions that improve performance, ensuring recommendations have the customer’s needs and wants at the forefront.
  • Continually reviewing information on sales, bestsellers & key online metrics and reacting to performance trends, you will adapt our online marketing as required, ensuring the page always remains relevant.
  • You will stay informed about the latest competitor activity and trends and provide recommendations based on your research to ensure the site remains competitive.
  • You will review performance of the page and present back results to senior stakeholders, identifying successes and opportunities.
  • You will have good communication skills to build productive relationships across all levels of the business, holding productive meetings and establishing effective and efficient ways of working.
  • Project management of own workload, ability to prioritise, and good problem solving skills are all essential as you drive tasks through to completion.
  • You will attend all relevant meetings and be responsible for maintaining accurate administration of key business documents.

About you

  • A creative eye with an interest in fashion.
  • Experience of working within a similar role or environment.
  • Ecommerce Trading or Marketing experience.
  • Highly motivated and hardworking with a professional attitude, who is able to work under pressure in a fast paced environment.
  • Displays a clear sense of vision, direction and belief, with perseverance and a desire to succeed.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to present to a range of audiences and influence to win support for positive change and new ideas.
  • Evidence-based approach.
  • Comfortable with using data reporting tools and a passion for identifying opportunities and creating solutions with a positive attitude to change.
  • Is able to accurately identify own development needs and is open to learning.
  • A positive can-do attitude.
