Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Salesforce Developer to join our team. This role requires strong Salesforce development skills combined with expertise in middleware platforms (MuleSoft, Boomi, or similar integration platforms). The ideal candidate will help us consolidate our integration architecture by replacing dedicated integration developer roles with a unified Salesforce and middleware approach, while building new features and maintaining our Salesforce org.This role is critical to our digital transformation initiative, where we're consolidating integrations into Salesforce and cloud-based middleware platforms. You'll work on both migration projects and new feature development, with a focus on product integrations and middleware architecture.

Key Responsibilities

Salesforce Development (60%)

• Design and develop custom Salesforce solutions using Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), and Flows
• Build and maintain declarative automation using Salesforce Flows
• Create and manage Platform Events, Custom Objects, and Integration Patterns
• Develop REST/SOAP APIs for external system integration
• Write comprehensive test classes and maintain code coverage
• Debug and troubleshoot production issues
• Follow Salesforce best practices and coding standards
• Work with Custom Objects, Validation Rules, Workflow Rules, and Process Builder
• Implement security best practices (Profiles, Permission Sets, Sharing Rules)
• Work with Salesforce Products and product-related objects

Middleware & Integration (40%)

• Design and implement integration solutions using middleware platforms (MuleSoft, Boomi, or similar)
• Build integrations between Salesforce and external systems (products, DocuSign, Zendesk, etc.)
• Work with REST APIs, webhooks, and OAuth 2.0 authentication
• Handle data transformation and mapping between systems
• Monitor integration health and troubleshoot failures
• Document integration architecture and data flows
• Configure Named Credentials and Connected Apps
• Work with Platform Events to trigger external integrations
• Manage product integrations and data synchronization

Required Qualifications

Salesforce (Required):

• 3+ years of Salesforce development experience
• Strong proficiency in Apex, SOQL, and Salesforce APIs
• Experience with Lightning Web Components (LWC) or Aura Components
• Proficiency in Salesforce Flows (Record-Triggered, Autolaunched, Screen Flows)
• Experience with Platform Events, Custom Objects, and Integration Patterns
• Knowledge of Salesforce security model (Profiles, Permission Sets, Sharing Rules)
• Experience with Salesforce CLI (SFDX) and version control (Git)
• Understanding of Salesforce data model and relationships
• Experience with Salesforce deployment processes (Change Sets, SFDX)
• Salesforce certifications preferred (Platform Developer I/II, App Builder)

Middleware & Integration (Preferred):

• Experience with middleware platforms (MuleSoft, Boomi, or similar integration platforms)
• Strong understanding of REST/SOAP APIs and webhooks
• Experience with OAuth 2.0, Named Credentials, and authentication patterns
• Knowledge of data transformation and ETL processes
• Experience with API design and documentation
• Understanding of integration patterns (synchronous, asynchronous, batch)
• Experience with product integrations and data synchronization

Additional Skills (Preferred):

• Experience with Salesforce CPQ (Configure, Price, Quote)
• Understanding of CI/CD pipelines
• Experience with monitoring tools (logs, error tracking)
• Knowledge of SOC2 compliance requirements
• Experience with DocuSign, Zendesk, or other common Salesforce integrations

Soft Skills:

• Problem-Solving: Ability to debug complex integration issues across multiple systems
• Communication: Clear documentation and ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
• Adaptability: Comfortable working with evolving requirements and new technologies
• Attention to Detail: Critical for integration work where small errors can cause significant issues
• Time Management: Ability to balance multiple projects and priorities
• Collaboration: Work effectively with cross-functional teams (Sales, Support, Product)

Preferred Experience:

• Migration Projects: Experience migrating integrations from legacy systems to modern platforms
• Middleware Platforms: Hands-on experience with MuleSoft, Boomi, or similar enterprise middleware
• Product Integrations: Experience integrating products and product data between systems
• Salesforce CPQ: Experience with Salesforce CPQ configuration and integration
• Hybrid Environments: Comfortable working across multiple platforms simultaneously
• DocuSign Integration: Experience with DocuSign API and Salesforce DocuSign Connector
• Marketing Automation: Experience with Marketo, SendInBlue, or similar platforms
• Support Systems: Experience with Zendesk or similar ticketing systems

Work Environment:

• Tools: VS Code, Salesforce CLI, Git, MuleSoft (or similar middleware platforms)
• Collaboration: Work with Product Managers, Business Analysts, and other developers

Education & Experience:

• Minimum: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience)
• Experience: 3-5 years of combined Salesforce and integration development experience
• Certifications: Salesforce certifications strongly preferred (Platform Developer I/II, App Builder)
• Portfolio: Examples of integration work or migration projects are a plus
