About this Position

As a Pre-Sales Solutions Engineer within our Acumatica Practice, you will partner with Account Executives, Solution Engineers, and consulting teams to drive new business by designing and delivering industry-specific ERP solutions. You will focus on solving complex business challenges for clients using Acumatica’s modern, cloud-native ERP platform.

This is a high-impact, client-facing role that blends industry expertise with technology acumen and consultative selling. You'll play a critical role in identifying customer needs, tailoring solution demonstrations, and ensuring technical alignment during the pre-sales process.

Job Responsibilities

  • Partner with sales and consulting teams to support pre-sales efforts across targeted verticals like Manufacturing, Construction, and Food & Beverage, as well as other industries as opportunities arise.
  • Lead discovery sessions using Selling Through Curiosity and other consultative methodologies to uncover customer goals, operational challenges, and technology requirements.
  • Design and deliver tailored, engaging Acumatica product demonstrations that clearly show how the solution addresses real-world pain points in each vertical.
  • Build relatable demo stories, proof-of-concept configurations, and solution roadmaps based on progressive discovery and client engagement.
  • Translate business requirements into scalable solution designs, functional architecture, and best-practice implementation strategies.
  • Work collaboratively across internal teams to scope projects accurately, ensure delivery feasibility, and align with vertical-specific best practices.
  • Develop demo scripts, templates, and accelerators tailored to typical business processes in discrete and process manufacturing, project-based construction, and food distribution or production.
  • Support the evolution of our Acumatica offerings by contributing to solution R&D and identifying opportunities for packaged services or repeatable vertical solutions.
  • Participate in go-to-market initiatives and support marketing, webinars, or industry events as a subject matter expert.
  • Help ensure project and revenue targets are met by supporting accurate scope definition and solution alignment during the pre-sales cycle.

Job Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in ERP Pre-Sales, Solution Engineering, or ERP Implementation, ideally with Acumatica or a similar cloud ERP platform.
  • Domain expertise in one or more of the following verticals is highly preferred:
    • Manufacturing (discrete/process, BOM, MRP, shop floor, scheduling)
    • Construction (job costing, WIP, project management, billing)
    • Food & Beverage (lot tracking, inventory management, distribution, compliance)
  • Ability to deliver clear, compelling product demonstrations and technical presentations to both executive and hands-on stakeholders.
  • Strong understanding of ERP architecture, solution design documentation, and scoping best practices.
  • Experience developing high-level estimates with limited inputs and evolving requirements.
  • Familiarity with the full ERP sales cycle and experience managing multiple concurrent opportunities.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills with a customer-first mindset.
  • Willingness to travel across North America to support strategic engagements and client opportunities.

Compensation and Benefits

Base salary range: $75,000 to $110,000.

This position is also eligible for commissions in accordance with the terms of the Company's plan.
