About Nerdio

At Nerdio, our mission is to simplify the lives of IT professionals and maximize their Microsoft cloud and end user computing investments.

We support organizations of all sizes looking to deploy, manage, and cost-optimize native Microsoft technologies. We partner with Enterprises and Managed Service Providers all over the world to add value on top of their existing native Microsoft investments like Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD), Windows 365, and Microsoft Intune.

Created in 2016, Nerdio has always taken a market-leading and collaborative approach to cloud deployment and management. In fact, our product roadmap is greatly influenced by the regular feedback we receive from having seen companies deploy AVD into production environments several thousand times using Nerdio technology.

Today, Nerdio is used in over 50 countries by more than 15,000 organizations of every size and vertical. We’re committed to delivering exceptional service and support, which starts with identifying and supporting the best staff possible.

We are a fast-moving, nimble company looking for individuals who are collaborative, empathetic, driven and who love to move at the speed of light. If you want to be part of the AVD transformation that Microsoft and Nerdio are leading, then we want to speak with you.

About the role

Nerdio is looking for a Senior Customer Marketing Manager to own the strategy and hands-on execution of our customer expansion marketing programs, with a primary focus on driving cross-sell and upsell revenue across our existing customer base.

This is a senior individual contributor role built for a highly analytical, deeply operational marketer who thrives on building programs end-to-end — from identifying expansion opportunities in the data to launching targeted campaigns and tracking revenue impact. You will own your programs from brief to results, with the autonomy to prioritize and execute without needing layers of approval.

You will serve as the primary marketing partner to Customer Success for expansion initiatives, and will collaborate closely with Sales, RevOps, Product Marketing, and Demand Gen to turn customer insights into scalable, repeatable revenue-driving plays. Actively leverage AI to improve speed, personalization, and program efficiency.

What you'll do

Customer Expansion Strategy & Program Ownership

  • Own the customer marketing strategy and roadmap focused on cross-sell and upsell growth across the customer lifecycle.
  • Build and maintain an account-based expansion framework aligned to customer segmentation, product adoption, firmographics, and growth potential.
  • Establish clear program priorities, success metrics, and execution plans in close partnership with Customer Success and Sales leadership.
  • Own customer marketing budget and make data-driven investment decisions to maximize expansion pipeline ROI.

Campaign Design & Execution (Hands-On)

  • Design, launch, and optimize targeted expansion campaigns for priority customer segments and strategic accounts.
  • Translate account plans and product expansion goals into actionable marketing plays — including lifecycle emails, digital touchpoints, event invitations, webinars, and direct outreach.
  • Activate existing marketing channels and assets (lifecycle, email, events, webinars, content, digital, product marketing, partner programs) to reach customers at the right moment.
  • Identify gaps in tooling, data, or assets and work cross-functionally to close them.
  • Actively leverage AI to personalize campaigns, accelerate content production, and improve program efficiency at scale.

Data, Insights & Measurement

  • Use customer data, product usage signals, intent data, and pipeline data to identify expansion opportunities and prioritize target accounts.
  • Define success metrics and build reporting frameworks to track expansion pipeline, revenue influence, engagement rates, and program ROI.
  • Develop dashboards and analysis that inform prioritization, optimization, and executive reporting.
  • Continuously test, iterate, and refine programs based on performance.

Cross-Functional Partnership

  • Serve as the primary marketing partner to Customer Success leadership for expansion (cross-sell and upsell) initiatives.
  • Collaborate with Sales, RevOps, Marketing Ops, Demand Gen, and Product Marketing to align messaging, targeting, and execution.
  • Provide expansion insights and campaign performance data to stakeholders and leadership on a regular cadence.

Metrics of Success

Success in this role will be measured by:

  • Cross-sell and upsell pipeline generated from customer marketing programs
  • Expansion revenue sourced and influenced by marketing
  • Engagement and conversion rates within targeted customer accounts and segments
  • Product adoption and attach rates for expansion products
  • ROI and efficiency of customer expansion programs
  • Accuracy and usefulness of expansion reporting and forecasting
  • Customer Success and Sales satisfaction with marketing support and partnership quality

Required Qualifications

  • 7+ years of experience in B2B marketing, with significant experience in customer marketing, lifecycle marketing, account-based marketing, or expansion-focused roles
  • Proven track record of driving cross-sell and upsell pipeline and revenue in a SaaS or recurring-revenue business
  • Strong analytical and operational skillset; comfortable working directly in CRM, marketing automation, BI tools, and customer data platforms
  • Experience designing and executing account-based marketing programs for existing customer segments
  • Ability to operate as a senior IC, balancing strategic program planning with hands-on execution
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; comfortable presenting to and partnering with senior stakeholders
  • Experience managing program budgets and making data-driven investment decisions
  • Comfort with and willingness to use AI tools to maximize impact and efficiency.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in a high-growth SaaS or cloud technology company
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Azure, AVD, Windows 365, or similar cloud infrastructure ecosystems
  • Experience working with or alongside a Customer Success function in a renewal/expansion motion
  • Background with intent platforms and customer data tools (e.g., 6sense, Gainsight, Totango, or similar)
  • Experience with HubSpot, Salesforce, and marketing analytics platforms
