The National Wildlife Federation (NWF) is seeking an Executive Director for NWF Action Fund (NWFAF). The Executive Director will be responsible for developing programmatic and electoral work, supporting the board of directors, developing and managing budgets, and compliance. The role requires strong nonprofit management skills, fundraising experience, and a strong understanding of operating affiliated 501(c)(3), 501(c)(4) and connected PAC organizations. The Executive Director will also be responsible for leading, mentoring, and developing a high-performing team, fostering collaboration, trust, accountability, and open and clear communication. The salary range for this position is $200,000-$240,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience with federal or state political affairs
- 5+ years of experience working in affiliated c3/c4 organizations
- Bachelor's Degree in Political Science, Public Policy, Political Management, Economics, Business or related field
- Strong understanding of operating affiliated 501(c)(3), 501(c)(4) and connected PAC organizations
- Strong fundraising background, including foundation and major donor experience
- Experience managing budgets of at least $1million
- Experience supporting boards of directors
- Excellent project management skills and ability to meet deadlines
- Excellent computer and technology skills, including a working knowledge of social media and database management
