About the role

Muon seeks a Technical Recruiter II (Hardware) to help scale our team by attracting and hiring exceptional talent. In this role, you will lead full-cycle recruiting for technical and aerospace positions while partnering closely with hiring managers throughout the process. As one of the first points of contact for candidates, you will represent Muon Space with professionalism and enthusiasm for our mission. This is a high-impact role where you will drive recruitment strategy, cultivate a broad and diverse pool of talent, and ensure candidates have a positive experience that reflects Muon's mission and values. This role is a 6 month contract to start, with potential to extend into something full-time.

Responsibilities

  • Lead full-cycle recruiting for Hardware and aerospace-focused roles across Mechanical, Electrical, and Structural Engineering, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, offer negotiation, and closing top talent.
  • Partner closely with hiring managers and leadership to define role requirements, develop hiring strategies, and build strong technical pipelines.
  • Proactively identify and engage high-caliber candidates through creative sourcing strategies including cold outreach, networking, referrals, and industry engagement.
  • Conduct candidate screenings and interviews, partnering with interview teams to effectively evaluate technical and cultural fit.
  • Guide hiring managers through the recruiting process, providing recommendations and insights to support efficient and high-quality hiring decisions.
  • Coordinate and manage interview processes to ensure an exceptional candidate experience and strong representation of the company’s mission and culture.
  • Use recruiting data and market insights to inform hiring strategies and improve recruiting effectiveness.
  • Manage offer processes including compensation discussions, negotiations, and closing candidates.
  • Partner with People Operations and hiring teams to ensure a smooth onboarding experience for new hires.
  • Continuously improve recruiting processes, tools, and workflows to support rapid hiring in a high-growth environment

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years of experience as a full-cycle technical recruiter
  • 2+ years of experience recruiting for Hardware-focused roles, with a passion for strategic and high volume sourcing
  • Experience with Greenhouse or similar ATS systems, as well as LinkedIn Recruiter
  • Excited to work in a fast-paced environment with new challenges each week
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills
  • Comfortable interfacing directly with hiring managers, including executive leadership
  • Ability to multitask and operate independently while remaining a strong team player
  • Strong sense of ownership, urgency, and accountability

  • Experience scaling startups in highly competitive market

  • Experience working in a mix of internal and agency environment

Salary

  • The hourly rate for this role is $65.00 - $91.25/hr. Final compensation will be determined based on skills, qualifications, experience, and geographic location as assessed during the interview process.
