About Multiplayer

We are Multiplayer! We design and build products that work for people, so people can do their best work.

We design product experiences that bring purpose and delight to everyday tasks. Working side by side with our clients, we help rapidly build their internal design capabilities. And we’re dedicated to fostering happiness in our own culture and in every client relationship.

We believe happiness is good business. When people are happier at work, they perform better, think smarter, and achieve more. This belief powers our approach, which we call Happiness by Design.

Let’s build a happier way to work—together.

The person we're looking for

We’re looking for a Senior Product Strategist who thrives in ambiguity and can bring clarity, alignment, and momentum to complex product spaces.

This role is less about producing research artifacts and more about shaping direction: aligning stakeholders around a shared vision, defining intentional product strategies, and creating actionable plans that teams can rally behind.

You’ve worked in low digital product development maturity environments, and know how to meet teams where they are: bringing structure, building trust, and elevating how product decisions get made.

You’re an exceptional communicator and facilitator, especially in remote settings, and you know how to guide groups toward meaningful outcomes, not just conversations.

Job Overview

Some things you will be responsible for:

Define and drive product strategy

  • Shape clear product visions grounded in user, business, and operational realities
  • Translate ambiguity into structured, actionable plans and roadmaps
  • Ensure strategic decisions are intentional, not reactive

Align stakeholders and build momentum

  • Facilitate alignment across cross-functional stakeholders with differing perspectives
  • Navigate competing priorities, risks, and constraints
  • Build shared understanding and buy-in around product direction

Lead high-impact workshops and working sessions

  • Plan and facilitate engaging remote workshops (visioning, prioritization, journey mapping, etc.)
  • Drive sessions toward clear decisions and next steps
  • Adapt facilitation style based on audience and level of product maturity

Synthesize insights into strategic direction

  • Leverage discovery inputs (research, data, stakeholder perspectives) to inform decisions
  • Turn complex inputs into clear product implications and priorities
  • Connect user needs to business goals in a way that drives action

Ensure continuity from strategy through design

  • Stay actively involved from discovery through design exploration and validation
  • Partner with design to ensure strategy and insights are accurately reflected in solutions
  • Guide teams in applying insights to real product decisions, avoiding “handoff” gaps

Define and guide validation approaches

  • Develop testing strategies for early-stage concepts to de-risk direction
  • Select appropriate methods based on timeline, risk, and required confidence
  • Translate learnings into clear recommendations that shape next iterations

Partner closely with design and product teams

  • Collaborate across functions to maintain strategic coherence
  • Support teams in making informed trade-offs aligned with the broader vision
  • Help elevate product thinking and practices within client teams

Requirements

  • This is a contract position
  • 5+ years in product strategy, UX research, or related strategic roles
  • Demonstrated experience leading generative and evaluative research (user interviews, diary studies, usability testing, etc.)
  • Track record of translating research insights into actionable recommendations and articulating their business impact
  • Excellent facilitation, storytelling, and cross-functional collaboration skills
