This position is is responsible for the development, implementation, and ongoing management of compensation programs that support the company's ability to attract, retain, and motivate top talent. This role partners with People and Culture Business Partners, Finance, and other cross-functional teams to ensure compensation practices are aligned with business goals, market trends, and compliance standards.

This role...

  • Leads the execution and continuous improvement of compensation programs, including base salary, variable pay, job architecture, and market pricing.

  • Partners with senior leaders and P&C Business Partners to assess compensation needs and provide guidance on pay decisions aligned with internal equity and external competitiveness.

  • Oversees the annual compensation planning process (merit and bonus cycles), including system configuration, budget management, and communication support.

  • Manages the compensation benchmarking process and maintain market competitiveness through analysis of market data and salary surveys.

  • Reviews and maintains job architecture, ensuring consistent evaluation and leveling of roles across the organization.

  • Supports compensation components of Workday (or HCM system), ensuring alignment with HR processes and data accuracy.

  • Collaborates with Finance, Sales Ops, and P&C partners to support incentive plan design and modeling (e.g., STIP, Sales Compensation).

  • Monitors and ensures compliance with applicable compensation-related regulations (FLSA, pay equity laws, etc.).

  • Provides training and resources to P&C and managers to increase understanding of compensation programs and principles.

  • Contributes to compensation-related communications and change management initiatives to promote transparency and engagement.

  • Leads or contributes to compensation projects and initiatives related to organizational change, M&A, or workforce transformation.

  • Supports executive compensation reporting and materials under the direction of senior Total Rewards leadership.

  • Oversees the research, analysis, and selection of vendors and compensation systems, ensuring alignment and integration between systems and other business applications and organizational goals.

  • May lead projects and performs other duties as assigned.

  • Business travel may be required.

  • Determines appropriate resourcing of staff in order to achieve goals and objectives.

  • Builds an effective leadership team through mentoring and formal education that focuses on management and project management principles.

  • Defines annual Key Performance Indicators aligned with corporate goals.

  • Directs and mentors leaders on performance gaps, career development opportunities, and strategies.

  • Directs and coaches leaders on all human resource related processes including onboarding, performance management, succession planning, employee relations, selection, terminations, compensation and rewards.

  • Accountable for collective results and recognizing others’ contributions and share credit for success.

  • Owns attainment of high employee satisfaction and retention; lead development of program and initiatives within group to attain high employee satisfaction.

  • Leads change management initiatives to drive improvements and efficiencies.

  • Ability to interact collaboratively and communicate effectively with external, internal customers, and stakeholders to address issues and ensure alignment.

  • Prepares and manages budget as assigned; analyzes variances and initiates corrective actions to maximize operational performance.

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Human Resources or similar field required. Master's degree preferred.

  • Ten (10) plus years experience in Compensation.

  • Five (5) plus years leadership responsibility.

  • Public company experience required.

  • Progressive experience in executive compensation (including equity programs), market pricing, variable pay, job evaluation/architecture, sales compensation, and cost modeling.

  • Proven experience in the implementation and use of technology to drive efficient administration of compensation programs.

  • Or equivalent combination of education and/or experience.

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and collaboration skills across all levels of the organization.

  • Demonstrated experience partnering with P&C Ops/IT to leverage emerging technologies in core systems to increase efficiency, effectiveness, and employee experience.

  • Demonstrated experience work cross functionally in a diverse organization.

  • Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills, including ability to collaborate, influence, negotiate with all levels of leadership; resolve conflicts, and ability to collaborate and effectively work in a team-based environment.

  • Excellent leadership, facilitation, critical thinking, decision making and problem-solving skills.

  • Strong business and financial acumen.

  • Strong project management skills.

  • Ability to educate leadership and employees on the value and understanding of rewards programs.

  • Excellent oral, written and communication skills including ability to organize and present information concisely to executive leaders and BOD.

  • Strong critical thinking, problem solving, and analysis skills required.

  • Strong initiative, creativity, and ability to think “out of the box”.

  • Must be results oriented, customer-focused, and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

  • Ability to work independently while working effectively as part of a team required.

  • Exercise good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions.

  • Must have general knowledge of US and other global employment laws and practices.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office packages.

Salary: $159,900 - $215,900

This position is bonus eligible based on individual and company performance.
