Data Migration Developer

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• Analyze existing data systems and databases to understand the structure, relationships, and formats of data.
• Map data from source systems to target systems, ensuring proper alignment of data fields.
• Load data into the target system, ensuring data is transferred without errors or data loss
• Perform rigorous testing and validation to ensure the accuracy, completeness, and quality of the migrated data.
• Address issues encountered during the migration process, ensuring minimal disruption.
• Work closely with IT teams, business analysts, and stakeholders to ensure the data migration aligns with business requirements.
• Document the data migration process, including workflows, challenges, and resolutions.

Requirements & Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent practical experience
• Implement object-oriented programming (OOP) principles and demonstrate strong understanding of tool development in .NET C# & Expertise in database management systems
• Proven experience in data migration projects, preferably with large datasets and complex environments
• Excellent troubleshooting skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
• Strong communication skills for effectively interacting with technical teams and stakeholders.

Desired Skills

• Knowledge of data governance and compliance regulations.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, etc.).
• Experience with project management methodologies

Education:

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent practical experience
