Mission Underwriting Managers began its journey in 2021 with a singular, transformative vision: to empower entrepreneurial underwriters to break free from the constraints of legacy systems and bureaucratic red tape. Founded by industry veteran Keith Higdon and now led by CEO Jim Dwane, the company was built to serve as a launchpad for talented underwriting teams who aspire to build their own businesses but lack the necessary infrastructure and capital.

What started as a bold idea has rapidly evolved into a powerhouse in the specialty insurance sector. By providing a turnkey platform that includes risk capital, advanced technology, and comprehensive operational support, Mission has enabled the launch of over 29 distinct programs and more than 80 products. The company's unique model allows underwriters to focus on what they do best—assessing risk and distributing products—while Mission handles the complexities of compliance, finance, and administration. With a growing team of over 240 employees globally and strategic acquisitions like the Talage submission management platform, Mission continues to redefine the program administrator landscape, offering a path to autonomy and equity for the industry's top talent.
