About the Role:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Product Marketing Consultant to join our team at Minoan. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of successfully launching tech products within the retail and/or hospitality sectors. This role involves developing and executing marketing strategies that drive product adoption and market penetration. The candidate should have a minimum of 5 years of experience, a background in PR, and the ability to coordinate and execute conferences..
This role is based out of Minoan’s headquarters in NYC, remote optional, with a preference that this individual could easily get to NYC when needed, where most of our team is located.
Key Responsibilities:
Market Research and Analysis:
Conduct thorough market research to identify customer needs, market trends, and the competitive landscape.
Analyze data to inform product positioning and go-to-market strategies.
Product Launch and Strategy:
Develop comprehensive go-to-market plans for new tech products.
Coordinate with product development, sales, and other cross-functional teams to ensure successful product launches.
Create and manage product launch timelines and deliverables.
Marketing Campaigns:
Design and execute integrated marketing campaigns to generate product awareness and drive demand.
Utilize various channels, including PR, digital marketing, social media, email marketing, and events.
Public Relations:
Leverage PR strategies to enhance product visibility and brand reputation.
Build and maintain relationships with media outlets and industry influencers.
Conference Coordination:
Plan, coordinate, and execute conferences and industry events to promote Minoan’s products and services.
Manage event logistics, including venue selection, scheduling, and vendor coordination.
Sales Enablement:
Develop sales enablement materials, such as product demos, presentations, brochures, and case studies.
Train sales teams on product features, benefits, and key selling points.
Performance Metrics:
Track and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of marketing initiatives.
Use analytics to optimize campaigns and improve ROI.
Customer Insights and Feedback:
Gather and analyze customer feedback to refine product offerings and marketing strategies.
Conduct surveys, focus groups, and user testing to gain deeper insights into customer experiences.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Marketing, Business, or a related field.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in product marketing, preferably within the tech, retail, or hospitality sectors.
Proven track record of successfully bringing new tech products to market.
Strong understanding of the retail and hospitality industries.
Excellent communication and presentation skills.
Proficiency in marketing automation tools, CRM systems, and data analytics.
Creative thinker with strong problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Background in public relations and experience in coordinating and executing conferences.
Experience with digital marketing strategies and tools (e.g., SEO, PPC, social media marketing).
Knowledge of emerging technologies and trends in the retail and hospitality sectors.
