View company profile

At Mindex, our journey began in 1994 with a small team of passionate software developers. While our initial offerings were diverse, ranging from Internet dial-up to website creation, we rediscovered our core passion in 1999: software development. This pivotal moment led to the formation of our two key expertise teams: Professional Services and our K-12 product suite, including the flagship SchoolTool™ student management system. Our philosophy is that excellence in one fuels success in the other. Developing our own products like SchoolTool from the ground up provides us with invaluable firsthand experience, enabling us to deeply understand the needs of our Professional Services customers as they navigate their own application development journeys. This dual expertise allows us to guide clients effectively, helping them avoid common pitfalls and apply best practices in designing, developing, supporting, and growing leading software applications.

Our culture is built on a foundation of striving for excellence, not just in the solutions we deliver but in the experiences we create for our employees and the relationships we build with our customers. We are immensely proud to be recognized as a Great Place to Work®, an honor based entirely on our team's feedback about their workplace experience. This reflects our commitment to fostering a high-trust environment where employees feel welcomed, valued, and equipped to do their best work. We believe in giving back to our community and are grateful for the opportunities and success that have allowed us to be charitable and support others. Regular team-building activities, company-sponsored events, and a focus on professional development are integral to our vibrant culture. As we look to the future from our downtown Rochester offices, we are excited to continue growing, innovating, and writing the next chapter of the Mindex story, always guided by our core values of expertise, collaboration, and a relentless pursuit of customer success.
