Job Purpose The AI Implementation Data Consultant will support the deployment and optimization of AI-driven solutions in the Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) domain. This role bridges the gap between data science, AI technology, and healthcare revenue operations—ensuring successful integration of intelligent automation and machine learning tools into financial workflows for healthcare providers or payers.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Partner with internal teams and external stakeholders to scope, plan, and execute the rollout of AI tools in revenue cycle functions such as billing, coding, prior authorization, payment posting, and denial management
- Analyze and map data from source systems to support machine learning models and AI solutions. Ensure data integrity and alignment with AI solution requirements.
- Collaborate to gather business and data requirements for AI implementation
- Support model training and validation efforts by preparing datasets, interpreting output, and ensuring business relevance. Monitor performance post-deployment and suggest enhancements.
- Identify opportunities to streamline RCM processes using AI, quantify potential ROI, and design future-state workflows
- Other duties as assigned
- Use, protect and disclose patients’ protected health information (PHI) only in accordance with Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) standards
- Understand and comply with Information Security and HIPAA policies and procedures at all times
- Limit viewing of PHI to the absolute minimum as necessary to perform assigned duties
Qualifications
- Understanding of RCM workflows and common systems
- Proven experience working with data for AI/ML projects
- Proficiency in SQL and experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau)
- Familiarity with AI/ML concepts and data pipeline development
- Experience with AI vendors or platforms
- Knowledge of HIPAA and healthcare data privacy/security regulations
- Python or R skills for data manipulation and model interpretation
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong interpersonal skills, ability to communicate well at all levels of the organization
- Strong problem solving and creative skills and the ability to exercise sound judgment and make decisions based on accurate and timely analyses
- High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results oriented
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills required
