Accounts Receivables Team Leader
What can you expect?
- Develop and maintain a strong awareness of continual improvement and seek to optimize the Account Receivables (AR) processes by identifying improvements and implementing change;
- Understand the current AR system capabilities and identify areas of improvement;
- Manage relationships with key stakeholders across the business, including Business Leaders, Back Office, FP&A and Controllership teams;
- Carry out billing, collection and reporting activities according to specific deadlines, ensuring that all outstanding invoices are collected in a timely manner;
- Investigate and resolve any receivables discrepancies by reconciling the insurers’ statements with the evidences of policies recorded in the internal system;
- Maintain the direct communication with insurers and clarify any outstanding collection issues regarding unbilled revenues;
- Manage a high-volume processing department to meet objectives;
- Ensure any ad-hoc reporting that might be required is delivered in a timely and accurate manner.
We will count on you to:
- Responsibilities include overseeing day to day accounting functions and processes as well as reporting of financial information. Preparation of account reconciliations, journal entries and provision of Balance Sheet analyses.
- Responsible for accuracy, timeliness and the general integrity of the accounting function and related reports. Preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual management reports. Duties may also include the preparation of required regulatory reporting - Participates in and/or lead projects affecting the department and its processes.
- Supervises accounting staff as required. Provides guidance, advice and support to direct reports to ensure issues are resolved and addressed appropriately in a timely fashion. Has authority to assign, direct and evaluate work, as well as train and provide general direction to professional staff.
- Assists with the maintenance and improvement of the internal control environment including general adherence and knowledge of SOX controls, SSAE16, and external audit procedures, as applicable. Ensures daily management activities are conducted in compliance with internal and external control requirements. May ensure that Statutory Accounts are properly maintained and reconciled in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting “Policy” procedures (GAAP).Adheres to the accounting principles and practices and regulatory environment and ensures these principles and practices are applied in the daily work.
- Responds to ad hoc requests for financial information as well as operational analysis using various reporting tools as consistent with a global business leader.
What you need to have:
- University Education;
- Experience in a Finance department, where the role covered reconciliations, invoice processing, internal and/or external reports preparation;
- Minimum 3 years of management experience; Experience in insurance field will be a plus;
- Computer proficient, very good knowledge of Microsoft Office suite (Excel is a must);
- Fluent in English.
- Hard-working, organized, with a good self-discipline, with initiative;
- Team spirit, willing to learn new things, persuasive, proactive.
