Apply to State National Companies for a position as a Contact Center Specialist and use your excellent problem solving and people skills to provide appropriate answers and resolution to a variety of insurance-related questions. You’ll respond to inbound calls from our financial institution customers and insurance agents and make outbound calls or web verifications to insurance companies to confirm insurance information.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Quickly analyze account history on a proprietary computer system and provide accurate information to assist in one-call resolution
  • Perform insurance verifications via outbound calls and the internet
  • Meet individual and team performance standards while maintaining good attendance and dependability
  • Show courtesy and professionalism on all calls to ensure a positive customer experience
  • Fully remote role
  • Shift: Monday - Friday 12pm-9pm

Qualifications:

  • Strong customer service orientation with active listening skills and a high attention to detail
  • Professional verbal and written skills
  • Ability to solve routine problems using established procedures
  • Ability to type a minimum of 25WPM
  • Intermediate computer skills

Education/Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Minimum one year of customer service experience
  • Prior experience with auto insurance or collateral protection insurance a plus

State National Provided Technology:

  • PC/Monitor
  • Router and Lan cables
  • Surge Protector
  • Telephone Hardware
  • Physical IP Phone, USB NIC, wireless headset
  • IP SoftPhone, wireless USB headset
  • Must have a secondary phone in order to call into the office if tech support needed
  • Telephone Software

At Home Internet Technology Requirements:

  • Must have Ethernet, wireless not acceptable
  • Minimum bandwidth required:
  • Download speed: minimum of 3.0 Mbps
  • Upload speed: minimum 1 Mbps

At Home Work Requirements:

  • In home office must be a quiet, uninterrupted work environment during all working hours.
  • Suitability of home office environment is subject to verification.
  • Cable or DSL modem and router must be located near the PC for cabling purposes.
  • PC must not be used by any other household member.
  • No unapproved software will be installed on the PC without approval from SNC management.
