The consultant will play a critical role in ensuring that all tax, statutory, and financial reporting requirements are properly aligned and successfully transitioned into the newly formed organizational setup.
- Provide expert consulting on SAP TAX modules and functionalities (e.g., tax codes, tax procedures, indirect tax, withholding tax, electronic invoicing, jurisdiction settings).
- Analyze the current SAP tax setup and design the future-state tax landscape for two separate legal entities.
- Configure and validate SAP TAX processes in alignment with local and international statutory requirements, including taxation frameworks in Colombia, Bolivia, and Paraguay.
- Work closely with finance, accounting, procurement, and legal teams to ensure end-to-end tax compliance.
- Support adjustments to tax-related master data and ensure correct integration with other SAP modules (FI, PTP, OTC, MM, SD).
- Lead and support all testing cycles (SIT, UAT), cutover, and post–go-live tax-related validation.
- Identify and mitigate risks related to tax configuration, reporting, and compliance during the separation.
Qualifications
- Solid experience as an SAP FI – TAX Consultant, with deep understanding of SAP TAX modules and tax-related configuration.
- Strong knowledge of indirect tax, withholding tax, reporting requirements, tax procedures, and SAP tax automation.
- Experience with SAP S/4HANA or ECC environments.
- Excellent analytical and communication skills, with the ability to translate tax requirements into system solutions.
- Fluent English and strong, confident Spanish language skills are mandatory.
