The Role

As a Senior Lead Software Engineer, you will provide technical direction in the creation, delivery, and integration of multiple and moderately complex software solutions. You will translate business requirements into specific designs and/or participate in the design, evaluation, and selection of IT solutions for software for a specific business process. Your role will involve establishing the current and future use of practices, metrics, and methodologies to determine current and future solutions. You will explore and evaluate new and approved technologies, consulting on the application of these technologies to develop solutions. Ensuring the process of creation and delivery of design and solution in accordance with the architectural direction is a key responsibility.

You will be responsible for the design and architecture solutions for Zuora implementations. This includes maintaining and optimizing configurations for Zuora Billing, Subscription Management, and Payments, as well as developing new functionalities for Zuora implementations. Collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and delivery of Zuora solutions is essential.

The Main Responsibilities

  • Responsible for design and architecture solutions for Zuora implementations.
  • Assist with the ongoing maintenance and optimization of Zuora configurations, including billing and finance settings.
  • Develop and support enhancements and new functionality for Zuora Billing, Subscription Management, and Payments.
  • Work with Product Development, Scrum Masters, QA Analysts, Product Owners, and other cross-functional resources to define and deliver business-impacting projects.
  • Capable of working independently, as well as with team members on different teams and in different locations.
  • Perform code reviews with other team members in a reviewer capacity.
  • Provide technical mentoring and guidance to less experienced team members.
  • Develop and support enhancements and new functionality to automate deployments in a Zuora environment.
  • Work closely with other engineering team members to ensure Zuora configurations are fully optimized and transparent.
  • Continually work towards making improvements in the release process and facilitate migration to a Continuous Deployment/Continuous Integration approach.
  • Provide technical expertise and troubleshooting as needed to support production issues.
  • Assist and in some cases be responsible for the design and architecture of projects and features.
  • Be willing to support deployments outside of work hours and participate in an on-call rotation.
  • Actively participate in all relevant agile ceremonies for each project iteration.

What We Look For in a Candidate

  • Zuora software and workflow management experience. Zuora certification preferred, but not required.
  • Billing and Finance expertise ideally with 10+ years of experience.
  • Expert in Zuora Billing, Subscription Management, Payments, Integration, Billing/Finance configuration with 5+ years of Zuora Billing experience.
  • 5+ years experience in implementations of Zuora Quote to Cash, CPQ, and Billing.
  • Zuora Subject Matter Expert on Subscription Business Model and Consumption Subscription Billing.
  • Rich experience integrating Zuora with other systems such as Salesforce, SAP, and Avalara.
  • Experience with banks (JPM, BOA) and payment gateways.

Compensation

This information reflects the anticipated base salary range for this position based on current national data. Minimums and maximums may vary based on location. Individual pay is based on skills, experience and other relevant factors.

Location Based Pay Ranges:

$129,639 - $172,852 in these states: AL, AR, AZ, FL, GA, IA, ID, IN, KS, KY, LA, ME, MO, MS, MT, ND, NE, NM, OH, OK, PA, SC, SD, TN, UT, VT, WI, WV, and WY.
$136,121 - $181,494 in these states: CO, HI, MI, MN, NC, NH, NV, OR, and RI.
$142,603 - $190,137 in these states: AK, CA, CT, DC, DE, IL, MA, MD, NJ, NY, TX, VA, and WA.
