LMI is seeking a Site Reliability Engineer with a minimum of a SECRET clearance and three years of experience to support the United States Army in developing next generation command and control capabilities.

This position requires an active Secret clearance.

Responsibilities

  • Design and Manage Security Measures: Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of comprehensive security measures, including firewall solutions, to protect network infrastructure. Develop and enforce policies, monitor for suspicious activity, and conduct regular security assessments to ensure compliance with industry standards.
  • Security Incident Management: Lead the response to security incidents, including investigation and mitigation efforts. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate security solutions into the existing infrastructure and provide expert support for troubleshooting security-related issues
  • Disaster Recovery and Backup Strategies: Develop and maintain robust disaster recovery plans, including regular backup procedures and failover mechanisms to ensure data integrity and availability
  • Cloud Infrastructure Management: Skilled in managing cloud services and resources, focusing on cost optimization, scalability, and deployment strategies
  • Observability and Monitoring: Implement advanced monitoring and observability tools to gain deeper insights into system performance and user experience, enabling proactive issue resolution and system optimization
  • Containerization and Orchestration: Expand expertise in container technologies and orchestration platforms (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) to improve deployment processes and system scalability
  • Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Leverage IaC tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible) to automate the provisioning and management of infrastructure, ensuring consistency and reducing manual errors
  • Performance Optimization: Focus on system and application performance tuning, including optimizing resource usage and implementing caching strategies to enhance user experience
  • Collaboration and Knowledge Sharing: Foster a culture of collaboration and continuous learning within the team. Encourage knowledge sharing sessions and contribute to internal documentation to streamline onboarding and skill development.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in science, technology, engineering, mathematics, computer science, economics, or related technical discipline. 
  • Minimum of a SECRET security clearance. 
  • Proficient in programming using one or more high-level languages, such as Python, Java, C/C++, Ruby, or JavaScript
  • Experience managing Kubernetes clusters
  • Experience working with databases
  • Experience with maintaining hybrid cloud solutions. 
  • Experience with Agile development methodologies.
  • DoD 8570 IAT Level II Certification (SEC+ or other) 

Preferred:

  • Master’s degree in science, technology, engineering, mathematics, computer science, economics, or related technical discipline 
  • Top Secret security clearance 
  • Experience using GitLab for CI/CD and automated deployments. 
  • Experience using Linux toolsets to support and analyze network related topics and issues
  • Experience working in IL6 or equivalent secure environments
  • Experience with security requirements in a federal IT environment, including FedRAMP-certified providers and FISMA requirements for acquiring an ATO. 
  • Agile certification
  • Experience with Cross-Domain Solutions (IL4 to IL6)
