As a Senior Global Compensation Manager, you will be responsible for developing and implementing effective compensation strategies to attract, retain, and motivate top talent within our organization. You will lead the design, implementation, and administration of our global compensation programs, ensuring internal equity, market competitiveness, and compliance with relevant laws and regulations. Your expertise in compensation management, data analysis, and strategic thinking will contribute to our overall compensation philosophy and support our business objectives.

What will this person do?

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive global compensation strategy that aligns with business goals, supports employee engagement, and attracts and retains top talent.
  • Lead the design, implementation, and administration of all compensation programs, including base pay, bonus, and sales commissions, ensuring internal equity and external competitiveness.
  • Conduct regular market analysis and benchmarking to assess the competitiveness of our compensation practices, recommending adjustments as necessary to attract and retain high-performing employees.
  • Collaborate with HR Business Partners and senior leadership to ensure compensation programs align with organizational needs and philosophies, supporting overall talent management strategies.
  • Effectively communicate compensation plans, policies, and changes to ensure transparency and understanding among employees, managers, and executives.
  • Manage the annual salary review process, including budgeting, modeling, and analysis, to determine equitable and competitive salary increases.
  • Support the design and administration of recognition programs to ensure they are aligned with our overall compensation strategy and promote a culture of appreciation and performance.
  • Conduct periodic audits and reviews to ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements, updating policies and practices as needed.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, best practices, and changes in legislation related to compensation and benefits, recommending enhancements and modifications accordingly.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Finance and HRIS, to ensure accurate and timely data analysis, reporting, and systems integration related to compensation.
  • Analyze compensation data to provide recommendations to HR Business Partners and Recruiting on appropriate compensation for new hires, internal transfers and promotions.
  • Manage job evaluation processes, review and update job descriptions, establish and maintain appropriate job family architecture and salary structures.

  • 6 or more years of progressively responsible experience in managing compensation programs.
  • Strong knowledge of compensation strategies, methodologies, and best practices, with a deep understanding of market trends and job evaluation techniques.
  • Proficient in conducting market pricing analysis, job evaluations, and salary surveys, using relevant compensation surveys and data sources.
  • Advanced Excel skills and strong working knowledge of HR systems (e.g., ADP, Workday, Ceridian).
  • Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex data, identify trends, and make informed recommendations to drive change.
  • Strong understanding of applicable laws, regulations, and compliances related to compensation, such as FLSA, Equal Pay Act, and EEOC guidelines.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both oral and written, with the ability to present complex compensation concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Solid project management skills, with the ability to prioritize, plan, and deliver multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and exhibit discretion and professionalism when handling sensitive compensation-related information.

Additional Preferred Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent experience
  • Experience working in ADP Workforce Now
  • Global compensation management, with an understanding of compensation laws, regulations and practices in the US, Europe and India
  • Experience with presenting to senior leadership and executive teams and training all levels of staff on compensation concepts and strategies.

Work Environment and Physical Demands

  • This is a work from home position, with duties to be performed at a remote work site that is reasonably free from distractions.
  • Duties require the ability to use a computer, sit at a desk or computer table, communicate over the telephone, and read printed material.

As required by applicable pay transparency laws, Lighthouse complies with compensation disclosure requirements for roles that may be hired in locations under these requirements. Factors that may be used to determine your actual salary may include a wide array of factors, including: your specific skills and experience, geographic location, or other relevant factors. The salary range for this position may be tailored to be lower or higher in different talent markets.

The expected pay for this role will range from $95,500 to $128,500 per year. This role will be eligible to participate in an annual bonus or incentive program.
