Responsibilities
- Produce clear, concise, and accurate technical documentation, including user manuals, system documentation, and training materials, adhering to strict government security protocols.
- Collaborate closely with cybersecurity engineers and subject matter experts to understand technical concepts and translate them into user-friendly documentation.
- Conduct thorough research and gather technical information from various sources to ensure accuracy and completeness of documentation.
- Assist in developing and maintaining cybersecurity policies, procedures, and standards documentation.
- Review and edit documentation to ensure clarity, consistency, and adherence to established standards.
- Support proposal development by providing well-written content that highlights our cybersecurity capabilities and solutions.
- Maintain documentation version control and manage updates in response to system changes or updates.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards related to cybersecurity documentation.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Technical Writing, English, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related field.
- Top Secret clearance is required.
- Security+ certification (or equivalent) is mandatory.
- Minimum [2] years of experience as a technical writer, with specific experience in cybersecurity documentation.
- Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles, technologies, and terminology.
- Proficiency with documentation tools and software (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Acrobat, Visio).
- Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with technical teams and stakeholders.
