Frontend Product Engineer, AI Team

About the role

We're looking for an exceptional product engineer with a product mindset and React excellence. You’ll work in the AI team, with Nuno Maduro and Ashley Hindle, to build Laravel’s most ambitious project so far.

This role is perfect for you if you love to work fully remotely, move faster than most engineers, and believe AI is changing how we build software.

Stack

• Laravel 12+, PHP 8.4+, Inertia
• React, TypeScript, Tailwind

What you’ll do

• Ship production features at startup speed - Own frontend implementation from concept to deployment, moving from prototype to production in hours or days
• Build complex delightful React interfaces - Work closely with our UX designer to implement sophisticated user-facing features with beautiful and scalable UI components
• Own technical excellence - Profile and optimize performance, architect scalable frontend systems, and maintain high code quality standards
• Connect with users - Embed with our community to understand their workflows, identify pain points, and translate learnings into product improvements

Requirements

• Strong frontend craft: TypeScript, React, Inertia, Tailwind - with a keen eye for interaction design, motion, accessibility, and visual detail
• Track record of independently driving features from idea to production
• Portfolio showcasing high-quality well-designed thoughtful experiences
• Small obsession with helping users succeed

Strong candidates may also..

• Be a former founder, or early engineer, who’s built a product from 0→1
• Bias to action, take ownership & never settle
• Love to win & proactively share demos
