The Job
Koombea is looking for a Senior Ruby On Rails Tech Lead Developer to join our development team in Colombia or remotely in all of Latam. As a Technical Lead, you'll be architecting solutions for a wide array of problems. Be part of the development team, making the hard decisions, reviewing pull requests, and adding code to the solution.
What You’ll Do
- Develop, review, and maintain codebases for web applications using Ruby.
- Identify and fix bottlenecks and bugs.
- Develop and maintain APIs.
- Optimize app performance for speed and scalability.
- Implement security and data protection measures.
- Design and implement data storage solutions.
- Deploy web apps to remote environments.
What You'll Bring to the Team
- 4+ years of experience working as a Ruby On Rails Developer
- Ability to write clean, reliable, and scalable Ruby code
- Familiarity with MVC, Mocking, RESTful, and ORM
- Experience working with Ruby on Rails as well as libraries like Sidekiq and RSpec
- An Agile and Scrum Mentality
- Testing capabilities
- Good understanding of Linux command line
- Code versioning (Git)
- English proficiency (C1)
- Knowledge of GraphQL | Nice to Have
- Experience with back-end languages or frameworks like Node.js and Laravel would be a plus.
