KONE Procurement is a global organization of purchasing and supplier management experts responsible for direct and indirect material and service sourcing for KONE.
We are seeking a dedicated Procurement Specialist to join our Nordics Procurement Indirect Team, responsible for the categories of Temporary Labor and Advisory & HQ services (e.g., recruitment suppliers, consulting services, temporary labor, training programs, outsourced services). The Nordics Procurement team oversees procurement activities across Finland, Sweden, Denmark, Norway, Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia, and Iceland. As an Indirect Procurement Specialist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring KONE’s profitability and compliance by managing contracts, negotiations, and tenders with our suppliers. You will collaborate closely with stakeholders across the organization, participate in projects, and lead initiatives.
The position is based in Helsinki, Finland
Main Responsibilities
- Collects business requirements from the organization to support Procurement projects for indirect spend.
- Drive tenders, create contracts, and negotiate with suppliers based on organizational needs and procurement initiatives.
- Supports the implementation of area/global level category plans and Procurement projects in the Nordic region
- Update local instructions, processes, and policies; provide guidance and support to ensure business follows preferred suppliers and complies with regulations.
- Ensure savings performance in procurement projects and maintain accuracy in savings data.
- Retrieve necessary data and create reports and analyze the data.
- Monitor cost development in your area/unit/category of responsibility
- Ensure contract coverage percentage and quality in your area of responsibility
- Compliance with contract owner tasks in alignment with KONE supplier segmentation
- Maintain and develop supplier and stakeholder relationships, ensuring supplier quality and performance
- Manage supplier segmentation and classification within your area of responsibility
- Compliance to internal control requirements
Requirements
- Proven experience in strategic procurement and supply chain management (2-5 years)
- Proficiency in English and at least one Nordic language (Swedish, Norwegian, Finnish, or Danish). Knowledge of several Nordic or Baltic languages is highly advantageous.
- University degree or equivalent experience in relevant field
- Good knowledge of MS Office.
- Strong stakeholder management skills
