KOHO is looking for a Director, Financial Risk to lead the strategy and analytics efforts within its financial risk management function. The role will oversee Credit Risk and Non-Credit Financial Risk, managing a team of financial risk subject matter experts to safeguard KOHO's financial health while enabling sustainable growth.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in financial risk management, with significant exposure to retail credit risk and/or treasury/financial risk management
- Leadership: Proven experience managing people managers and leading high-performing analytical teams
- Education: A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a quantitative field (e.g., Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Finance, Engineering) or equivalent practical experience
- Technical Expertise: Deep understanding of IFRS 9 standards, ECL methodologies, and stress testing frameworks
- Analytical Mindset: Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex data into actionable strategic insights
- Communication: Strong ability to communicate complex risk concepts to non-technical stakeholders and senior executive leadership
- Collaboration: A 'builder' mindset—you thrive in cross-functional environments and can effectively influence peers in Product, Finance, and Tech
