🎯 The Role
As a Senior Data Engineer (Azure), you will work at the intersection of data engineering, backend services, and cloud platforms, helping build scalable data foundations that enable analytics, integrations, and data‑driven decision‑making.
You will join a collaborative, cross‑functional team working in an agile environment, contributing end‑to‑end to modern data platforms and integration solutions across the Azure ecosystem.

💵 Compensation: Daily rate €250 – €350

In this role, you will:
Design, develop, and maintainscalable data pipelines and backend serviceson Azure
Build and optimizedata products and data platformsusing modern lakehouse architectures
Develop and maintainAPIs and integrationsto connect internal and external systems
Ensuredata quality, reliability, and performanceacross pipelines and services
Work withstructured and unstructured datato support analytics and downstream systems
Contribute toCI/CD pipelines, automation, and deployment processes

👤 What We’re Looking For
Must-haves
Minimum5+ yearsof experience as a Data Engineer
Experience working inAgile/Scrum environments
Strong experience withPythonand object-oriented programming
Solid experience withMicrosoft Azure(e.g., ADLS, ADF, Synapse, or similar services)
Hands-on experience withDatabricks(Notebooks, Delta Lake)
StrongSQLskills for data processing and validation
Experience building and maintainingAPIs and backend services(REST, event-driven)
Familiarity withCI/CD pipelinesand DevOps practices
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Fluency in English
Must be based in Europe
Nice-to-haves
Experience withdata modeling and data architecture
Familiarity withevent-driven architectures and distributed systems
Experience withdata governance tools(e.g., Unity Catalog)
Exposure toAI/ML data preparation or data-driven platforms
Experience withJSON and API-based data ingestion
