Kettle & Fire is looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Shopper Marketing Coordinator to join our team on a contract-to-hire (or freelance) basis. This is a hands-on opportunity to work across the full spectrum of shopper marketing — from in-store execution and retailer digital campaigns to trade promotions, co-branded partnerships, and cross-functional communications. You'll partner closely with our Senior Shopper & Brand Marketing Manager, as well as our brand and sales teams, to bring our products to life at every consumer touch point — keeping programs on track, results visible, and the team aligned.

This role will begin as a contract position with the opportunity to convert to full-time based on performance, ownership, and demonstrated impact.

Who We Are:

At Kettle & Fire, we exist to create products that heal rather than harm - nourishing people on their path to better health and building a food system we can be proud of.

We’re a company of A-players who move fast, think clearly, and act with intent. We own our outcomes, speak with radical candor, and embrace a growth mindset - pushing ourselves and each other to keep learning, improving, and delivering high-quality work that matters. We’re obsessed with the customer, insanely focused on mission-critical work, and committed to building a team where collaboration, accountability, and high trust are non-negotiable.

We don’t do fluff. We tackle big challenges with great people, celebrate the wins, and enjoy the ride along the way. If this sounds like an environment you’d thrive in, you’ll feel right at home here.

What You'll Own:

Shopper Marketing

  • Coordinate development and production of in-store POS materials (such as displays, shelf talkers, signage, coupon pads, etc.)
  • Partner with sales teams to ensure flawless in-store execution at key retail accounts with full scale tracking and reporting
  • Execute retailer digital campaigns across platforms including Walmart Connect, Roundel, Kroger Precision Marketing, and Instacart — supporting strategy, trafficking, and performance monitoring
  • Manage and optimize retailer.com content including product pages, imagery, A+ content, and ratings & reviews to maximize digital shelf presence

Communication and Result Sharing

  • Build and distribute sell-in decks, one-pagers, and 360 campaign calendars to keep internal sales teams and broker partners informed and equipped
  • Compile and share campaign performance recaps and key insights with internal stakeholders and external partners in clear, action-oriented formats
  • Support brand campaign planning by coordinating timelines, consolidating inputs, and ensuring cross-functional alignment with the broader marketing team

Requirements

Qualifications and Competencies for Success:

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field
  • 2+ years of experience in shopper marketing, brand marketing, or similar field (CPG or food & beverage preferred)
  • Strong project management and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills including strong proficiency in deck building
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially PowerPoint and Excel
  • Fundamental understanding of AI tools such as Claude and ChatGPT
  • Proactive, self-starter mentality with bias toward action

Additional Skills We're Looking For (Not Required, But a Big Plus):

  • Exposure to digital retail media, sponsored search, or e-commerce content management
  • Experience using project management tools (Asana, Monday.com, or similar)
  • Familiarity with data platforms such as IRI/Nielson/SPINS
  • Deep familiarity with AI systems (for deck creation, calendar management, etc)

Benefits

What We Offer:

Note: This role will initially be a contract position with the opportunity to convert to full-time based on performance, ownership, and demonstrated impact. Below are benefits for full-time employees:

The opportunity to be part of a mission-driven company that values transformation and efficiency. A competitive salary and time off package that appreciates your hard work and dedication. And benefits focused on ensuring our employees can take care of themselves including:

About Kettle & Fire

At Kettle & Fire, our heart beats to the rhythm of a simple yet profound mission: to bring the incredible, healing benefits of bone broth to the world. We are more than just a food company; we are a catalyst for a healthier future, one that nourishes both people and the planet. Our journey began with a personal quest for wellness. Co-founders and brothers, Justin and Nick Mares, were seeking better options for their own health journeys – Justin for workout fuel and Nick for recovery. This led them to the time-honored tradition of bone broth, a superfood packed with collagen, protein, and essential nutrients. However, they quickly discovered a gap in the market for a convenient, high-quality, and shelf-stable bone broth made from the best ingredients. This realization sparked the creation of Kettle & Fire.

Our culture is deeply rooted in the belief that food should heal, not harm. This principle guides every decision we make, from our meticulous sourcing standards to our slow-simmering cooking process. We are committed to using only 100% grass-fed, grass-finished beef bones and pasture-raised, organic chicken bones from humanely raised animals, free from antibiotics and hormones. We combine these with organic vegetables, herbs, and spices, slow-simmering for 20+ hours to extract every bit of goodness. This dedication to quality is not just about creating a superior product; it's about fostering a better food system. We are passionate about regenerative agriculture and are actively working to support farming practices that restore and enrich our environment. Our team is a collective of passionate individuals who share this vision. We foster a supportive and creative environment where everyone is empowered to contribute to our mission of making the world a healthier place, one cup of bone broth at a time.
