As a Staff Salesforce Applications Developer, you will lead the design, development, and optimization of enterprise-scale Salesforce solutions that support business strategy and drive innovation. You will manage full lifecycle development, from requirements gathering to deployment and ongoing system enhancement, ensuring high performance, scalability, and maintainability. This role involves mentoring team members, providing architectural guidance, and introducing automation and AI-driven improvements to processes. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, integrating Salesforce with internal and external systems while maintaining security, compliance, and operational excellence. Your contributions will directly impact business efficiency, customer experience, and technological advancement within a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
Accountabilities
- Lead the full lifecycle of Salesforce application development, including requirements gathering, solution design, coding, testing, deployment, and post-go-live maintenance.
- Architect and implement scalable, secure, and maintainable Salesforce solutions, including custom objects, Apex, Lightning Web Components, Visualforce, and Flows.
- Drive system integrations using REST/SOAP APIs, middleware platforms, and data pipelines.
- Implement process improvements and automation using both declarative tools and programmatic solutions.
- Optimize performance by monitoring queries, bulkifying operations, and adhering to governor limits.
- Establish and enforce coding, configuration, documentation, and testing standards.
- Mentor junior developers and administrators, providing technical guidance and leadership.
- Collaborate with architects, product owners, and business analysts to translate requirements into robust technical solutions.
- Ensure disaster recovery, system reliability, security, and compliance standards are met.
- Participate in DevOps practices, including source control, CI/CD pipelines, sandbox management, and release management.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related technical discipline (Master’s or PhD with equivalent experience preferred).
- 13+ years of experience in Salesforce development or enterprise CRM/Platform engineering (Master’s with 8+ years or PhD with 5+ years equivalent experience accepted).
- Extensive experience with Salesforce Service Cloud, Sales Cloud, Apex, Visualforce, Lightning Web Components, Lightning framework, Flows, and declarative tools.
- Strong skills in system integrations, REST/SOAP web services, middleware, ETL/data migration, and API management.
- Knowledge of data modeling, data architecture, SOQL/SOSL, and handling large data volumes.
- Experience with DevOps tools, version control (Git), CI/CD pipelines, and sandbox management.
- Familiarity with AI, predictive analytics, Einstein, and automation technologies.
- Strong understanding of security, compliance, and authentication/authorization protocols (OAuth, SAML, roles, sharing).
- Agile development experience and familiarity with iterative delivery cycles.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Leadership ability to guide technical direction, enforce best practices, and mentor others.
- Relevant Salesforce certifications (Platform Developer II, Application Architect, System Architect, Sales/Service Cloud Consultant) are preferred; Google Cloud certifications are a plus.
