This role offers the chance to contribute to the core infrastructure of a cutting-edge AI platform, building secure, scalable, and high-performance systems. You will design and implement foundational components while collaborating with cross-functional teams, including data scientists and ML engineers, to integrate advanced AI models. The position emphasizes hands-on development in Rust, containerized environments like Kubernetes and Docker, and production support for critical platform services. You will also mentor junior engineers, guide best practices, and ensure that the platform remains robust and highly reliable. Accountabilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain core platform components and frameworks that support AI and ML applications.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and deliver solutions that empower developers and data scientists.
- Provide production support, troubleshooting, and performance optimization for platform services.
- Integrate Generative AI models into the platform, ensuring efficient execution and scalability.
- Mentor junior engineers and foster a culture of technical excellence and continuous learning.
- Stay current with industry trends and best practices to ensure the platform remains innovative and robust.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years of software engineering experience with platform development responsibilities.
- Strong proficiency in Rust and experience building high-performance systems.
- Experience with REST and Graph APIs, including authentication and authorization mechanisms (OAuth 2.0, OIDC, API keys, JWT, service accounts).
- Hands-on experience integrating with external systems via SDKs, webhooks, and event-driven patterns.
- Prior experience developing widely adopted infrastructure/framework components.
- Familiarity with Kubernetes, Docker, and cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
- Exceptional collaboration and communication skills.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience developing platforms for AI/ML applications or working with Generative AI models.
- Proficiency in Python and DevOps/CI-CD practices.
- Contributions to open-source projects in platform engineering or AI technologies.
