This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Sr. Platform Engineer (Mission Partner Environment) in the United States.
In this role, you will lead technical contributions to complex delivery efforts, designing and implementing advanced IT solutions that address mission-critical challenges. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deploy innovative technology and optimize platform capabilities for mission partner environments. Your expertise will drive outcomes across enterprise and government programs, leveraging emerging commercial technologies, cloud solutions, and Zero Trust principles. You will mentor peers, support rapid prototyping, and help scale successful solutions. This position allows you to make a tangible impact on critical operations while working in a dynamic, flexible, and remote-friendly environment.
Accountabilities:
- Design, implement, and manage platform solutions for mission partner environments, addressing customer pain points and contract objectives.
- Lead technical delivery efforts, contributing as a hands-on individual contributor within multi-disciplinary teams.
- Collaborate with Enterprise Solutions, Delivery Services, and Capability teams to ensure solution alignment from proposal through deployment.
- Apply IT Operations tools, cybersecurity capabilities, and assessment frameworks to modernize Zero Trust infrastructures.
- Support research, rapid prototyping, and integration of emerging technologies to enhance interoperability and mission readiness.
- Provide technical guidance, documentation, and evaluation to ensure high-quality implementation and delivery.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience (additional 4+ years in lieu of degree).
- 10+ years of relevant experience in platform engineering or mission-critical IT environments.
- Expertise in infrastructure storage provisioning, VDI deployment, Active Directory/GPO, Linux and Windows administration, endpoint management, and continuous monitoring.
- Experience developing and deploying data-centric mission partner networks for US government customers.
- Knowledge of policies regarding foreign mission partner sharing, interoperability, and Zero Trust principles.
- Proficiency in DevSecOps, cloud/hybrid-cloud solutions, containerization, and Kubernetes.
- Strong analytical, communication, and time-management skills with the ability to innovate in a fast-paced environment.
- Secret security clearance required at the start of employment.
- Remote work capability with 10-25% domestic travel.
