This role offers the opportunity to architect, deploy, and optimize advanced carrier-grade networks across IP/MPLS and optical infrastructures. You will work with high-end platforms from leading vendors, designing complex core, edge, and DCI topologies while integrating automation and telemetry tools to improve efficiency and reliability. Collaborating with cross-functional teams, you will lead technical workshops, mentor junior engineers, and guide network initiatives that enhance operational excellence. The position includes high-impact projects and requires a strategic thinker who thrives in fast-paced environments, delivering reliable and scalable networking solutions for enterprise, service provider, and carrier environments. Occasional travel and on-call responsibilities are part of this role, making it ideal for professionals seeking challenging and rewarding network engineering opportunities.
Accountabilities:
- Design, implement, and support high-performance IP/MPLS and optical networks for carrier and large enterprise environments.
- Provide hands-on engineering and troubleshooting across multi-vendor platforms, including Cisco, Arista, Nokia, Juniper, and Ciena.
- Lead proof-of-concepts, lab validations, and on-site or remote deployment of complex network infrastructure.
- Collaborate with clients, sales, and architecture teams to define technical solutions aligned with business needs.
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to internal documentation, best practices, and knowledge sharing.
- Integrate automation and telemetry solutions using Python, Ansible, Netconf/YANG, and programmable network tools.
- Maintain advanced manufacturer certifications and ensure network solutions meet industry standards.
- Participate in on-call rotations and support projects during non-business hours as required.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline preferred; equivalent experience considered.
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in carrier-grade or large enterprise network environments.
- Deep expertise in IP/MPLS, BGP, OSPF/ISIS, Segment Routing, QoS, and DWDM/ROADM technologies.
- Strong background in optical transport technologies, including coherent optics and ROADMs.
- Experience with high-end routing and optical platforms: Cisco ASR/NCS, Arista R series, Nokia 7750, Juniper MX/PTX, Ciena Waveserver/6500, Cisco NCS/Acacia, Nokia 1830, Infinera, etc.
- Industry-recognized certifications preferred (Cisco CCNP, Juniper JNCIP, Nokia NRS, Ciena COP, Arista ACE/NSE).
- Experience leading technical workshops and effectively communicating with internal teams and clients.
- Familiarity with scripting and automation using Python or Ansible.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills; ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
- Willingness to learn new technologies and work collaboratively to achieve team and organizational goals.
