The Sr .Net Developer will take a lead role in designing, developing, and maintaining complex, large-scale applications for federal and commercial clients. This position involves hands-on software development, managing technical delivery, and ensuring high-quality, scalable solutions. The role emphasizes collaboration with cross-functional teams, product owners, and stakeholders to align technical solutions with business requirements. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with .NET technologies, cloud platforms, and modern development practices, and will contribute to improving system performance, reliability, and user experience. Accountabilities
- Lead the design and implementation of technical solutions, ensuring alignment with organizational needs and stakeholder requirements.
- Guide and mentor development teams toward successful project delivery while maintaining high software quality standards.
- Manage software delivery performance, technical operations, and development processes.
- Identify and implement reliability, efficiency, and performance improvements to applications and platforms.
- Create and maintain test and production environments, ensuring operational stability.
- Participate in agile ceremonies including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives.
- Collaborate with engineers and product owners to support application development from inception to release.
- Respond to production incidents, perform root cause analyses, and facilitate blameless post-mortems.
Requirements
- US Citizenship is required for federal agency compliance.
- 10–15 years of experience developing and maintaining large-scale applications.
- Strong proficiency with .NET Core and Framework (version 8.0+), C#, VB.NET, MVC, Razor, Blazor, JavaScript, AJAX, CSS, and jQuery.
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Cloud Foundry), multi-instance applications, and cloud storage (S3).
- Familiarity with database technologies including SQL Server, MySQL, and EDW, with complex SQL scripting experience.
- Experience developing and maintaining APIs (REST: POST, GET) and working with testing tools such as Postman and SOAPUI.
- Knowledge of GitHub, branching strategies, and CI/CD deployment pipelines (.yml).
- Experience with classic VB/ASP code and translating to .NET solutions.
- Skilled in implementing and managing DevOps tools and practices.
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively in agile teams.
