Solutions Architect (Snowflake)

This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Solutions Architect in Hungary.

This role offers an exciting opportunity for a Solutions Architect to design and implement scalable, cloud-based data solutions that drive impactful insights and analytics. You will work closely with business and technical teams to translate requirements into robust Snowflake architectures, modernize legacy systems, and enable self-service BI capabilities. The position provides a dynamic environment within an Agile team, fostering innovation, collaboration, and mentorship. You will be responsible for ensuring high-quality data pipelines, dimensional modeling, and best practices in version control and project management. This role requires technical leadership, strategic thinking, and a proactive approach to problem-solving in a globally distributed setting.

Accountabilities:

• Design and implement end-to-end data solutions using Snowflake as the primary cloud data platform.
• Build and maintain Medallion architecture with robust dimensional data models for gold layer datasets.
• Manage ETL/ELT pipelines using tools like Coalesce.io and Airbyte, and integrate legacy SQL Server/SSIS systems.
• Optimize BI semantic layers for Power BI self-service analytics.
• Translate business requirements into scalable, maintainable data architectures.
• Define and enforce best practices for data modeling, pipeline development, and version control using GitHub.
• Track project progress and deliverables in Jira, ensuring timelines and quality standards are met.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to project teams.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Data or Solutions Architect with cloud-based platforms.
• Hands-on expertise with Snowflake, Power BI, Coalesce.io, Airbyte, SQL Server/SSIS; some exposure to Azure Data Factory is a plus.
• Strong understanding of Medallion architecture and dimensional data modeling.
• Experience designing and maintaining BI semantic models for self-service analytics.
• Ability to establish and enforce data engineering standards and best practices.
• Familiarity with project tracking in Jira and version control using GitHub.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work across business and technical teams.
• Availability for a minimum 4-hour overlap with US Eastern Time.
• English proficiency at upper-intermediate level.
• Nice to have: Salesforce integration experience, knowledge of higher education or ed-tech domains.
