We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Systems Software Developer to design, implement, and maintain advanced software systems in a dynamic, mission-critical environment. This role involves building fully integrated systems infrastructure, supporting Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) processes, and minimizing technical risk exposure through innovative and secure solutions. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, contribute to iterative development cycles, and ensure system scalability, security, and reliability. The ideal candidate thrives in fast-paced, Agile environments, demonstrates deep technical expertise across distributed systems and middleware, and mentors team members while driving high-quality delivery.
Accountabilities:
- Develop, implement, and maintain fully integrated systems infrastructure, ensuring technical solutions are secure, scalable, and extensible.
- Support Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) processes, including automated compilation, testing, and deployment to reduce errors and improve efficiency.
- Maintain accurate software configuration management across multiple releases and lifecycle environments.
- Perform upgrades, delivery automation, backlog grooming, and technical integration activities.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including project staff and contractors, using iterative development methodologies to deliver complex software solutions.
- Apply deep expertise in distributed systems, middleware, databases, and service-oriented architectures to design and implement web services and APIs.
- Establish and document standard operating procedures for technical and project activities.
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in software development, with a strong focus on systems software.
- Proficiency in Java (Java EE/SE), JSP, JSF, Hibernate, and service-oriented architecture (SOA) principles.
- Experience with Oracle 10g/11g, Oracle Real Application Clusters, and middleware rules engines (e.g., Drools).
- Skilled in CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab, and automated testing frameworks.
- Experience with cloud-based development, containerization technologies (Docker, OpenShift), and modern deployment practices.
- Strong understanding of cybersecurity policies, procedures, and best practices, including FISMA compliance.
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum environments and iterative development methodologies.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
- US Citizenship and Active IRS MBI required.
