As a Senior Software Engineer (Web), you will work on high-impact web projects that engage millions of users in the sports and entertainment space. You will design, develop, and maintain performant, reusable, and elegant front-end features while collaborating closely with designers, product managers, and backend engineers. This role allows you to influence product direction, contribute to the design system, and deliver high-quality, user-focused experiences in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. You will also participate in code reviews, maintain engineering best practices, and innovate with modern web technologies. Accountabilities
- Design and build clean, reusable, and high-performance front-end features for web applications.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers, designers, and backend engineers, to deliver responsive and intuitive web experiences.
- Maintain and enhance the design system and component libraries to ensure consistency and scalability.
- Write well-tested, high-quality code while participating in code reviews and enforcing engineering best practices.
- Contribute ideas and technical expertise in a high-agency environment to influence product direction.
- Learn from and mentor peers while actively participating in technical discussions and innovation initiatives.
Requirements
- 6+ years of professional experience building modern web applications.
- Strong expertise in React (including Hooks, Context API, functional components) and JavaScript/TypeScript (ES6+).
- Experience with state management libraries such as Redux.
- Proficiency in working with RESTful APIs and web development tooling (Webpack, Vite, or similar).
- Familiarity with testing frameworks such as Jest and React Testing Library.
- Excellent communication skills and a collaborative, product-oriented mindset.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, distributed environment.
- Desired: Experience with tools like Amplitude, DataDog, and Storybook.
