As a Senior Software Engineer on the Conversation Team, you will design, build, and operate high-value features that enhance customer communications. You will work in a fast-paced, product-driven environment where quality, operational excellence, and scalability are critical. Your role combines hands-on engineering with mentoring and knowledge sharing, ensuring best practices are applied across the team. You will be responsible for end-to-end delivery of key modules, integrating with business-critical customer tools while optimizing performance and reliability. Accountabilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services using Node.js and TypeScript.
- Deliver business-critical features integrating with customer systems such as CRM, Helpdesk, and e-commerce platforms.
- Participate in solution design, architecture discussions, and end-to-end delivery of key modules.
- Ensure system reliability through performance optimization, monitoring, and participation in on-call rotations.
- Mentor junior engineers and evangelize best practices across the engineering organization.
- Contribute to continuous improvement in development processes, code quality, and operational standards.
Requirements
- 7+ years of backend development experience with TypeScript and Node.js.
- Extensive experience with AWS in production environments, including high-volume, high-availability systems.
- Strong knowledge of scalable, secure, and reliable service design.
- Proficiency with engineering best practices, including Clean Code, Clean Architecture, TDD/BDD, and CI/CD.
- Familiarity with tools such as GitLab/GitHub, Jira, and Confluence.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate across diverse teams.
- Experience with Domain Driven Design is a plus.
