This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Senior Program Manager, Formulation and Packaging Product Development in the United States.
This role provides a unique opportunity to lead end-to-end program management for formulation and packaging product development initiatives within a fast-paced, consumer-focused environment. You will be responsible for managing projects from concept through launch, ensuring cross-functional collaboration, timeline adherence, and alignment with business objectives. The position involves partnering with Product Development, Packaging, Marketing, Operations, and Creative teams to drive efficiencies, optimize processes, and maintain high standards of quality, sustainability, and regulatory compliance. Accountabilities
- Lead and manage the full lifecycle of formulation and packaging product development programs from scoping through launch and post-launch review.
- Own and optimize the stage gate process to ensure risk mitigation, cross-functional alignment, and timely decision-making.
- Develop and maintain long-lead program plans that leverage cross-functional efficiencies and incorporate learnings from previous initiatives.
- Facilitate project activities such as kickoffs, status reviews, and retrospectives, proactively addressing risks, blockers, and dependencies.
- Drive collaboration across Product Development, Packaging, Creative, Regulatory, Quality, Operations, and Marketing teams to align on key milestones.
- Manage packaging development from concept to commercialization, ensuring brand aesthetics, usability, sustainability, regulatory compliance, and cost targets are met.
- Oversee 3PL partner readiness, SKU setup, and coordination with Operations for fulfillment, inventory, and customer experience.
- Maintain detailed documentation, tracking tools, and approvals to monitor program progress and deliverables.
Requirements
- 5+ years of program or project management experience, including at least 2 years in full lifecycle formulation and packaging product development.
- Strong understanding of the consumer packaged goods (CPG) or personal care product development lifecycle.
- Proven experience managing timelines, deliverables, and cross-functional initiatives for formulation and packaging projects.
- Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to engage confidently with executive leadership, designers, and cross-functional teams.
- Highly organized, solution-oriented, and capable of managing multiple initiatives in a fast-paced environment.
- In-depth knowledge of packaging materials, development processes, and regulatory compliance requirements.
- Proficiency with project management tools such as Asana or similar platforms; adaptability to new tools and technologies.
- International experience and a global mindset are a plus.
