As a Senior / Principal Biostatistician, you will play a key role in designing and executing statistical strategies that support clinical research and the development of new therapies. You will lead complex analyses, provide guidance on study design, and ensure the quality and accuracy of statistical deliverables. Collaborating with cross-functional teams in a flexible, virtual environment, you will contribute to high-impact projects that ultimately improve patient outcomes. This role combines technical expertise, leadership, and mentorship, offering the opportunity to influence the statistical rigor of clinical trials and observational studies across global programs.
Accountabilities:
- Lead the development and execution of complex statistical analysis strategies using software such as SAS and R.
- Review and ensure quality control of all statistical deliverables, including analysis datasets, statistical reports, and sections of integrated clinical reports.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to junior statisticians, fostering a collaborative and high-performing team environment.
- Advise on study design, analysis plans, and the statistical aspects of clinical trials or observational studies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and liaise with clients to ensure alignment on data analysis, scope, and timelines.
- Support project coordination, ensuring successful completion within budgets and timelines.
Requirements
- Master’s or Ph.D. in Biostatistics, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant industry experience in clinical trials or epidemiology.
- Proficiency in SAS or R programming and advanced statistical analysis techniques.
- Strong understanding of the statistical considerations for clinical trials or observational studies.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in English and ability to work effectively in a virtual, matrixed team.
- Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to mentor junior team members.
- Strong analytical thinking, self-reliance, and a collaborative mindset.
- Ability to travel occasionally, as required.
