We are seeking a Senior PHP Engineer to join a dynamic technology team focused on building a robust, scalable platform for vulnerability and exposure management. This role involves designing and maintaining backend services, integrating multiple security tools, and automating workflows to enhance organizational security outcomes. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, solve complex technical challenges, and contribute to a high-impact product that supports enterprise security programs. Accountabilities
- Design, develop, and maintain PHP-based backend services, ensuring high performance, reliability, and scalability.
- Integrate with multiple third-party APIs and consolidate data from various security tools.
- Maintain applications on Linux platforms within cloud environments, ensuring operational stability.
- Automate workflows for vulnerability and exposure management to streamline risk mitigation processes.
- Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies, including sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives.
- Troubleshoot complex technical issues and provide on-call support for critical incidents.
- Collaborate with distributed teams across different time zones to deliver high-quality solutions.
- Contribute to architecture decisions and ensure best practices in coding and deployment.
Requirements
- Strong expertise in modern PHP versions and backend development.
- Experience with relational databases (SingleStore/MEMSQL is a plus).
- Proficient in working on Linux platforms and cloud environments.
- Experience integrating with RESTful APIs and strong understanding of HTTP protocols.
- Prior experience in Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, capable of handling complex technical challenges.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within distributed teams.
- Preferred: Knowledge of frontend technologies (HTML5, CSS, JavaScript), Laminas Framework, ExtJS, cloud environments (AWS), vulnerability scanning technologies, and experience in data analytics or data science.
