The Senior Operations Data Analyst will play a critical role in supporting operational decision-making by analyzing, interpreting, and visualizing complex healthcare data. This position focuses on optimizing Primary Care Physician assignments, tailored care management data, and maintaining waitlist and state reporting. The analyst will develop dashboards, create secondary datasets, and perform statistical analyses to inform programmatic and strategic initiatives. Working closely with cross-functional teams, the analyst ensures accurate, timely, and actionable insights that drive improvements in patient care and operational efficiency. The role requires strong technical proficiency, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate findings effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Accountabilities:
- Conduct comprehensive analysis of healthcare and operational data, using SQL, BI tools, Python, R, and Excel.
- Develop, maintain, and distribute dashboards, reports, and management tools to support operational and programmatic decisions.
- Assist with tracking strategic goals, projects, and timelines using project management tools such as Smartsheet.
- Validate data accuracy, ensure statistical soundness, and generate actionable insights for departmental staff and committees.
- Create secondary datasets from clinical and financial data warehouses to support new initiatives and ongoing programs.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance reporting processes and improve data-driven decision-making.
- Maintain schedule of reporting and ensure timely communication of findings to internal and external stakeholders.
Requirements
- High School Diploma/GED with six years of healthcare data analytics experience, or Associate’s degree with four years, or Bachelor’s degree with two years, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Strong experience with SQL, data extraction, and analysis of complex healthcare or clinical datasets.
- Proficiency with Microsoft SQL Server Reporting, Excel PivotTables/PivotCharts, VLOOKUP, and BI tools; experience with Python or R preferred.
- Ability to handle large and complex datasets from healthcare or financial databases.
- Valid driver’s license and residence within North Carolina; ability to travel locally as needed.
- Preferred: Degree in IT, Statistics, Analytics, Mathematics, Business, or Human Services; certifications in Microsoft data systems, SQL Server, BI, R, Python, or Azure.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
