We are seeking a Senior Engineering Manager to lead a talented team responsible for mobile video experiences in a fast-paced, innovative environment. In this role, you will guide the design, development, and delivery of high-quality iOS and Android applications, along with the systems that power them. You will mentor engineers, set technical direction, and collaborate across teams to ensure that business strategy translates into impactful user experiences. This role requires balancing hands-on technical contributions with strong leadership and team development skills, all while fostering a culture of engineering excellence.
Accountabilities:
- Lead and mentor a team of engineers to enhance technical skills, judgment, and leadership capabilities.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Video Platform, Computer Vision, and Business Development, to deliver new features and integrations.
- Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of projects, ensuring clarity, prioritization, and accountability.
- Contribute to design and implementation of video capture and streaming systems when needed.
- Promote best practices in engineering, driving continuous improvement in development processes and technical standards.
- Foster a strong team culture focused on collaboration, learning, and innovation.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience leading diverse engineering teams and 5+ years of software development experience.
- Technical fluency in native iOS or Android development and experience with video technologies, including live streaming and on-demand playback.
- Experience designing and scaling APIs to support rich, reliable mobile experiences.
- Strong architectural and technical direction skills, with proven experience guiding teams through complex projects.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on delivery excellence.
- Passion for creating products that connect communities and enhance user experiences.
- Ability to work effectively in a remote-first environment across distributed teams.
