This role offers a unique opportunity to lead a high-performing engineering team focused on scaling and validating next-generation data center GPU products. The Senior Engineering Manager will oversee system-level testing, diagnostics, and stress workloads across diverse environments, from internal labs to hyperscale cloud data centers. This position combines strategic leadership with hands-on technical expertise, driving innovation, product quality, and operational efficiency. You will collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams, mentor engineers, and work closely with external partners to ensure robust and reliable GPU deployments. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced, technically complex environment and is passionate about solving challenging engineering problems while developing team capabilities.
Accountabilities:
- Lead and mentor a team of engineers, fostering professional growth, technical expertise, and leadership skills.
- Drive development of stress and diagnostic software targeting GPUs, CPUs, memory, storage, and interconnects.
- Manage multiple projects concurrently, balancing long-term strategic goals with short-term deliverables.
- Collaborate with Cloud Service Providers (CSPs), OEMs, and data center operators to support deployment, diagnostics, and system-level validation.
- Champion continuous improvement in debugging efficiency, operational scalability, and product quality.
- Coordinate with architecture, ASIC, operations, and data center teams to build methodologies for rigorous subsystem testing.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 10+ years of overall experience in system software development, including 4+ years in engineering management.
- Strong programming skills in C, C++, and Python.
- Deep understanding of operating systems, kernel drivers, and hardware-software interaction.
- Experience with PC/server architecture, including PCIe, NVLink, Infiniband, or Ethernet.
- Proven track record of leading multi-team debugging efforts and feature development.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in diagnostics or stress testing within large-scale data center environments.
- Familiarity with GPU compute, graphics, memory subsystems, or high-speed interfaces.
- Prior collaboration with CSPs or OEMs on system-level validation and deployment.
- Strong communication, cross-functional leadership, and mentorship skills.
- Passion for building tools and processes that ensure product excellence and customer success.
