This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Senior Data Engineer Customer Experience (m/w/d) in Germany.
As a Senior Data Engineer focused on Customer Experience, you will design, implement, and maintain robust data pipelines that process customer interactions in near real-time, enabling actionable insights and improved experiences. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure data availability for analytics and machine learning, while supporting infrastructure and MLOps practices. Your work will directly impact the quality of customer interactions, helping teams make informed decisions and continuously enhance the customer journey. This role combines technical expertise, creativity, and collaboration in a dynamic, fast-evolving environment focused on data-driven excellence.
Accountabilities
- Design, develop, test, and maintain data pipelines for near real-time processing of customer data.
- Manage infrastructure for data consumers, supporting deployment of machine learning models and integration of new data sources.
- Implement best practices in CI/CD, DevOps, and MLOps to improve the development lifecycle.
- Continuously improve the development process, ensuring high quality, scalability, and reliability of data workflows.
- Collaborate with team members to derive insights from customer interactions and drive enhancements in customer experience.
- Mentor colleagues and share technical knowledge to foster team growth and capability development.
Requirements
- Degree in Computer Science or equivalent with strong analytical skills.
- Extensive experience building data processing pipelines from diverse source systems (e.g., HTTP endpoints, Blob storage, relational databases).
- Advanced proficiency in Python and Spark, preferably on Databricks, with solid knowledge of Microsoft Azure and Infrastructure as Code (e.g., Terraform).
- Strong communication skills, capable of conveying technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Experience mentoring team members and fostering knowledge sharing.
- Fluent in German (C1) and strong English skills.
- Eagerness to continuously expand expertise in cloud and data engineering, as well as text analytics, deep learning, and LLMs.
