This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Senior Data Architect/Engineer (GCP, SQL, Python) in the United States.
In this role, you will lead the design and implementation of large-scale, enterprise-grade data platforms, helping organizations unlock the value of their data. You will work closely with business leaders, data engineers, analysts, and data scientists to define reference architectures, develop automated pipelines, and deliver actionable insights. The role involves end-to-end responsibility for data strategy, modeling, integration, and governance, while ensuring scalability, security, and reliability. You will contribute to high-impact projects across analytics, business intelligence, and data engineering initiatives. This position offers a hands-on environment where thought leadership, mentorship, and technical excellence are highly valued.
Accountabilities
- Assess existing data components, perform POCs, and provide consultative guidance to stakeholders.
- Design and implement end-to-end data solutions addressing business-specific problems, including data collection, integration, cleansing, enrichment, and visualization.
- Architect large-scale data platforms to support engineers, analysts, and data scientists.
- Define tools and technologies for automated data pipelines, ETL processes, dashboards, and reports.
- Ensure performance, reliability, reusability, scalability, security, privacy, and governance in all data architectures.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including data scientists and analysts to meet analytics and data requirements.
- Mentor junior team members and provide thought leadership within the data practice.
Requirements
- 15+ years of experience as a senior data architect or data engineer.
- Strong hands-on expertise in SQL, Python, GCP services (BigQuery, GCS, Cloud Functions, Composer), and dbt.
- Extensive experience with large-scale big data environments (100TB+).
- Proven ability in data modeling, database design, and conceptual/logical schema optimization.
- Expertise in building and maintaining data pipelines, ensuring efficiency, reliability, and security.
- Familiarity with modern data technologies, CI/CD practices, and API integration.
- Experience with data mining, segmentation, and visualization tools.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
- Candidates will be required to complete technical assessments in SQL and Python.
