This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Senior Craft CMS / PHP CMS Developer in the United States.
In this role, you will lead backend development projects for diverse web applications, focusing on Craft CMS and other PHP-based platforms. You will work on custom plugins, API integrations, and advanced application features while collaborating closely with front-end developers, project managers, and clients. Your work will shape the architecture of high-functioning applications, optimize performance, and ensure code quality across multiple projects simultaneously. Accountabilities:
- Develop and maintain applications, websites, and features using Craft CMS, Laravel, and other PHP platforms.
- Write custom CMS plugins and integrate external APIs and services.
- Contribute to architecture planning and provide guidance to junior developers.
- Optimize databases, queries, and overall system performance; implement logging and monitoring solutions.
- Collaborate with front-end and back-end teams to structure builds efficiently and effectively.
- Document your work clearly to ensure knowledge transfer and maintain high-quality standards.
- Stay current with emerging development technologies and recommend their application to projects.
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of professional development experience, preferably in PHP and web application architecture.
- Proven experience with Craft CMS or other PHP-based CMS platforms (e.g., WordPress, Drupal, ExpressionEngine).
- Experience with MVC frameworks, Laravel strongly preferred.
- Strong understanding of Git, version control, and collaborative development workflows.
- Familiarity with infrastructure and DevOps, including AWS, Google Cloud, Azure, Heroku, Docker, etc.
- Ability to work effectively in a remote team environment and mentor junior developers.
- Frontend skills (HTML, JavaScript, CSS) and understanding of user behavior for building intuitive applications.
