Senior Backend Developer (Node / Nestjs) LATAM

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Backend Developer to lead the design, development, and optimization of robust backend systems. In this role, you will build scalable APIs, manage complex data integrations, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver seamless platform functionality. You will have the opportunity to influence the codebase, introduce best practices, and mentor other developers while working in a fast-paced, fully remote environment. Accountabilities

• Design, develop, and maintain backend services and APIs using Node.js, Express.js, and NestJS.
• Ensure seamless data integration and manage relationships across complex relational and non-relational databases.
• Optimize database performance and design for MongoDB, MySQL, and other data stores.
• Implement microservices architecture and integrate backend systems with front-end clients.
• Maintain clean, well-documented, and maintainable code while adhering to best practices.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable features and solve complex technical challenges.
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, version control processes, and automated testing strategies.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Extensive experience with Node.js, Express.js, and NestJS in production environments.
• Strong knowledge of relational and non-relational databases, with hands-on experience in MongoDB and/or MySQL.
• Proficiency in creating and consuming RESTful APIs and working within microservices architectures.
• Solid understanding of TypeScript and client-side scripting.
• Familiarity with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and containerization technologies like Docker.
• Experience with automated testing, unit testing, and end-to-end testing is a plus.
• Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to mentor other developers in a remote team environment.
