Security Engineer, DevSecOps - India

This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Security Engineer, DevSecOps in India.

In this role, you will be a key contributor to the security and integrity of cloud-based products, designing and implementing solutions that protect infrastructure, software, and data from vulnerabilities and attacks. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to automate security policies, conduct threat modeling, and provide guidance on secure software design. This position offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment where security is treated as a driver of innovation rather than a constraint. You will play a hands-on role in monitoring, responding to incidents, and improving security processes, while contributing to the development of scalable, production-ready systems that safeguard organizational assets.

Accountabilities

• Build and maintain infrastructure, custom software, and vendor integrations to support security needs across products and cloud environments.
• Develop automation and reporting tools to enforce security policies and monitor compliance.
• Set up data ingestion pipelines for SIEM or other security tools to ensure comprehensive visibility.
• Conduct threat model reviews of product features and associated architectures, providing actionable recommendations.
• Guide service and feature teams on secure software design and best practices.
• Participate in incident response, ad-hoc forensic investigations, and on-call rotations as needed.
• Collaborate closely with SecOps, GRC, and DevSecOps teams to continuously improve security processes.

Requirements

• 2–3 years of experience in security engineering with strong software development and architecture expertise.
• Proficiency in Golang or Python, beyond basic scripting.
• Experience with AWS or GCP, Terraform, and GitHub Actions.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong problem-solving, ownership, and accountability mindset with high integrity.
• Passionate about security, viewing it as an enabler for innovation.
• Availability for on-call support and willingness to assist Security Operations during incidents.
