This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for an SDE - Customer Engineering | Automation Testing (Selenium, Pre-sales & Post-sales) in India.
In this role, you will join a dynamic Customer Engineering team, working closely with customers to drive end-to-end technical product evaluations. You will provide hands-on expertise in Selenium and API automation, guiding customers through technical discovery, RFP responses, and workshops. This position requires both pre-sales and post-sales engagement, ensuring technical challenges are addressed efficiently while enabling customers to succeed with testing solutions. You will collaborate with cross-functional product and engineering teams, gaining exposure to CI/CD tools, test automation frameworks, security, and networking technologies. Operating primarily in a remote-first setup with occasional on-site visits, you will also develop problem-solving and communication skills in a fast-paced environment.
Accountabilities
- Drive customer technical product evaluations from start to finish, coordinating with Dev, QA, Network, Security, and Business stakeholders.
- Lead Customer Engineering activities including technical discovery, RFP responses, product value proposition, architectural guidance, and L3 support escalations.
- Design and conduct comprehensive technical workshops and solution demonstrations for customers.
- Collaborate with product and engineering teams to develop technical solutions aligned with customer needs.
- Capture technical product requirements and feedback from customers, sharing insights with product teams to enhance offerings.
- Provide hands-on support for automation testing, CI tools, and other technologies within the customer’s environment.
Requirements
- 1–4 years of experience in automation testing, particularly with Selenium and API testing.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
- Familiarity with Agile software development methodologies and the modern SDLC.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to break down complex concepts into clear frameworks.
- Excellent customer-facing communication skills and ability to work across time zones (US hours: 5 PM – 2 AM IST).
- Self-starter with discipline and motivation to succeed in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and collaborate effectively within cross-functional teams.
