This role is designed for a highly skilled Python developer ready to contribute to a next-generation settlement platform within the FinTech space. You will work in a collaborative, agile environment, designing and implementing cloud-based, microservices-driven solutions that ensure secure, efficient, and reliable transaction processing. The position offers a mix of hands-on software development, architecture design, and performance optimization while supporting a growing team focused on innovation and operational excellence. You will engage in code reviews, contribute to backlog planning, and help drive best practices across development processes, making a direct impact on the platform’s scalability and quality.
Accountabilities
- Participate actively in agile (scrum) development cycles, including backlog refinement, sprint planning, and task estimation.
- Design, implement, test, and maintain new and existing features in a Python/Django environment.
- Develop and maintain RESTful web services and ensure high-quality, reusable code.
- Perform unit and functional testing to ensure feature reliability and quality assurance.
- Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to peers.
- Identify performance bottlenecks and implement optimizations to enhance system efficiency.
- Adhere to security, compliance, and confidentiality standards across all development work.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or equivalent experience.
- 3+ years of professional Python development experience with Django.
- Strong object-oriented design and programming skills.
- Experience building RESTful APIs and working with SQL/ORMs.
- Familiarity with GitHub, Jira, and Linux-based development environments.
- Knowledge of cloud computing (AWS preferred) and microservices architecture is a plus.
- Understanding of SaaS, PaaS, IaaS, CI/CD, and DevOps concepts is desirable.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
