In this role, you will lead and coordinate initiatives focused on long-term recovery preparedness, ensuring projects are executed efficiently and effectively. You will manage project schedules, budgets, and resources while monitoring progress and resolving issues as they arise. The position involves working closely with cross-functional teams, vendors, and stakeholders to maintain alignment and meet deliverables. You will provide guidance to support staff, track project performance, and ensure high-quality outcomes. Accountabilities:
- Develop, manage, and monitor complex project schedules, budgets, and milestones using project management tools.
- Coordinate project-related conferences, meetings, and communications between staff, vendors, and stakeholders.
- Oversee project support staff, providing guidance, feedback, and ensuring work meets quality standards.
- Analyze project performance, identify issues or risks, and recommend solutions to maintain timelines and objectives.
- Prepare project reports, documentation, agendas, and user guides for project deliverables.
- Facilitate quality control, testing, and evaluation to ensure deliverables meet standards and expectations.
- Provide advisory and consultative support to enhance long-term recovery preparedness initiatives.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience; additional project management coursework preferred.
- Minimum 3–5 years of project management experience; emergency response or recovery experience is a plus.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in project management tools and Microsoft Office applications.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to coordinate with diverse teams and stakeholders.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a dynamic, sometimes high-pressure environment.
- Mobility to travel as required, including attending meetings, conferences, and site visits.
- Physical ability to perform duties, including lifting or moving light to medium weights (up to 20 lbs), and manual dexterity for equipment operation.
